Inequality within South Africa is widening and youth unemployment is growing. We have a social responsibility to do everything in our power to change the future of our country. Education is widely recognised as the single most important driver in reducing unemployment. Access to affordable and relevant education is currently not within reach of the majority.
Students find it difficult to choose a relevant program that is desirable in the current market which will secure them a job. We believe that both theoretical degrees as well as short, occupational, skills based courses can provide students a spring board to move into the job market with skills and knowledge that are current and practical.

Grant-Ed is an online platform that connects students, educational providers and financial sponsors in a unique way – helping students locate, review and register for relevant courses whilst offering access to financial assistance via crowd-sourced sponsors. Sponsors enjoy improved security and transparency in funding authenticated students, whilst donations are made directly to institutions, ensuring that funds are allocated and spent as intended.
Current crowdfunding platforms disperse the funds to a campaign or person directly, creating the risk of fraud. With Grant-Ed, sponsors have peace of mind that 100% of the donation will go directly to the chosen educational institution. Additionally students will be able to verify various types of personal information to provide comfort in the authenticity of the individual. Institutions and courses will be pre screened to ensure the highest standard.
